BRGUS and Deprived Population
Socio-legal Aids
BRGUS organized awareness and education meetings/camps in rural areas of South 24 Parganas to provide social and legal aids to the women/adolescents girls in domestic violence and others.
Health care (mother and child care)
It also regularly organized health education camps/awareness meetings to facilitate mother and child health care among the poor. Environment Education program: BRGUS organizes environment education among school children. Meetings and awareness camps were conducted and for school children, they organized sit & draw, essay competition, and other programs with its initiative.
Initiative for Public Awareness and Education
Awareness of Consumer Rights
Regular health check, health and hygiene awareness, and education were conducted by the expert medical practitioners and other field staff of BRGUS. Children and their mothers participated actively. Gradually, their health and hygiene care had been improved.
Awareness on Prevention and Control of HIV/AIDS Among the Rural Population
It has organized an awareness campaign for the protection of consumer rights and interest through meeting with its initiative.
Awareness camp for the person with disabilities: The organization held the camp for early detection and identification of persons with disabilities where the disabled and their parents were identified and motivated in the minority-dominated area of the district.
Program For Older Persons
The most respectable and experienced human resources in our community who are holding a significant portion of the total population are living without care and attention. The older persons of rural areas are at a critical juncture in present-day society. They are not getting proper care and attention from their younger ones. To provide proper space it was conducted as a sensitization program for school children. It covered schools of Beral&KashmoliBhatora of Amta-II Block of Howrah.
Yoga Awareness
The organization conducted yoga awareness programs among school children and general people of its working area.
BRGUS and Unemployment Youth(male & female)
BRGUS imparted skill training program for the unemployed youth(male and female) of rural area on beautician course, cooking, tailoring & readymade garments, computer with its initiative.
Program on Ayush and Naturopathy
This people’s organization also conducted the education program on Ayush and naturopathy for better survival of poor people in its working area. In these programs, the organization arranged lectures and demonstrations by health experts.
